COVID-19 Information

As a district and a community, we understand that the current circumstances created by the COVID-19 school closures until the end of the school year are challenging, to say the least. We would like to thank you for your support in our efforts to stay connected to our students and their families. Below are some opportunities for you and your child to continue to be connected with your school community and to build academic skills.

  • Virtual Office Hours to connect with your child’s teachers:  Check here to connect with your child’s teacher and have questions answered individually during the times they have listed. Teacher emails and phone extensions are also listed along with their office hours. Connecting with your child’s teacher can occur through a phone call, email or virtual meeting.

  • District Enrichment Website:  Visit www.hemetlearnstogether.org for additional learning voluntary opportunities and family resources to meet you and your child’s learning needs. Special education and English Language Development resources are also available on this website.

  • Distance Learning Opportunities: Students can access voluntary learning opportunities through their teacher’s distance learning plan or through grade level printed packets available for pick-up during nutrition distribution. Please ensure that you and your child’s contact information is updated so you have access to communications from your child’s teacher (or call the school to leave a message for your child’s teacher). You can update your contact information in Aeries Portal (https://portals.hemetusd.org) at any time.

  • Grading: No grades will be negatively affected as a result of distance learning -your child’s grade can only improve. (Please click on the linked parent and student communication for Elementary SchoolMiddle School and High School and refer to the section on grading.) We encourage parents and students to continue communicating with their teachers regarding the child’s current grade.

We want to remind parents and students that school site staff and teachers are available to connect with families and provide more detailed information on the distance learning opportunities offered by specific teachers. We appreciate your partnership and look forward to working with you and your child as we finish up the 2019-20 school year.

We will place updates here as they come up so parents and students can keep informed on the programs and events of the school site.
