For much of the event, the Tahquitz High School Jazz Band performed and provided an ongoing performance for the many attendees. The evening also included musical performances from students and staff ranging from vocal performances to contemporary dance.

Organizations that were in attendance included: JROTC, Mt. San Jacinto College, San Jacinto High School, the Hemet Valley Art Association, and other local artist businesses.

HUSD’s Teacher on Assignment for the Visual and Performing Arts, Tina Batchelder-Schwab shared, “We are proud of events like these that highlight the wonderful talents of our students. Art programs are so important as they provide well-rounded education that includes creative expression and hands-on learning. The arts teach students to think creatively, problem-solve, and to develop their unique voices- all of which are essential skills for any future career fields they choose to pursue. This event was truly a community effort and was a complete success! We look forward to bringing this opportunity to our community again next year.”
