Traffic Accident at West Valley High School

We urge all of our community members to obey the speed limit around our schools to ensure the safety of our students. This morning we had an incident where a student was hit by a vehicle while walking to West Valley High School. The incident is being investigated by Hemet Police Department and the student has been taken to the hospital. We are unaware of the student’s injuries at this time. Superintendent Barrett and West Valley Principal, Dr. Janice Jones, are going to the hospital to be with the student and the family. Counseling services will be provided today at West Valley for students who have been affected by this incident. Our thoughts and prayers are with the student and family at this time.

If you are in the area, please use alternate routes as Mustang Way is closed near the intersection of Sanderson.
