Wednesday, October 11, school will begin at 7:55 and end when testing ends at approximately 1:15. The bell schedule for that day can be found at http://www.wvhsmustangs.net/apps/bell_schedules/. All students at West Valley will be taking part in College Kickoff during October. Students in all grades will be learning about how they can prepare for two-year and four-year colleges.
The month will culminate on October 11 when all 9th - 11th grade students will be taking the PSAT and all seniors will be taking the SAT. HUSD is covering the cost of testing to ensure that all students have this opportunity.

|10/4||10th grade students will be reviewing the results of the ASVAB test. This test was administered in September. The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) has four parts: arithmetic reasoning, word knowledge, paragraph comprehension, and mathematics knowledge. In the debrief, students will explore possible career and educational choices based on their scores.|
11th grade students will be exploring post-high school opportunities
9th grade students will be completing an interest profile through California College Guidance Initiative (CCGI) so that they can begin to explore career options.
All students will have the opportunity to take the PSAT or SAT.
|10/18||Seniors will be working on college applications, scholarship profiles, and career presentations.|
|10/24||The College and Career Fair will be hosted by West Valley for the third year in a row. Representatives from many schools including Cal States and UCs will be in attendance.|
